ARTS & TECHNOLOGY LESSON 32

I was so impressed with yesterday's WCHS Thanksgiving turkeys. You all did such an amazing job on that assignment. Because of how well some of you animated your turkey's body, I decided to create this assignment. You are going to create an animated "balloon man." Why do I call him a "balloon man"? Just click on the link below and find out but before you do, you may want to click on this hyperlink for PoseManiacs in order to see some really fantastic anatomical models.

ARTS & TECHNOLOGY LESSON 31 Part One

Well I guess you all know which holiday is coming up next week right? Of course, it is Thanksgiving . Click on the hyperlink to review its origin. Now for Lesson 31. It's a "two parter". Today you're going to create a very important Thanksgiving character. No it's not a Pilgrim nor an Indian. What is it? A turkey - who else could it be? Click on the link below for Part One of this lesson.

ARTS & TECHNOLOGY LESSON 30

Today I want everyone to complete your two Christmas cards for the Columbus County Christmas Card competition. After they are completed I have one more assignment for you to do. Click on the link below in order to see how to create these very unique Christmas designs after which you will place them onto a paper box pattern.

Having read the instructions, copy and paste the pattern below into PhotoImpact as an 8 1/2 x 11 inch image. Create your Christmas designs and then place them on all six sides of the box. Save this as "Chrsitmas designs" as a .jpeg.

ARTS & TECHNOLOGY LESSON 29

If you didn't finish your test last Friday, do it today. This is the last day to work on it. If you did finish the test, today's assignment for you is to create an animation involving an airplane. This animation should be 150 pixels high x 400 pixels wide. Be as creative as possible. I do want you to include something that the airplane flies behind. In mine I had the plane flying behind the mountains in the foreground. You can see my airplane animation at:

Good luck on this assignment.

ANIMATION FRIDAY TEST

Well you've been working with animated gifs for a week now and have I ever seen some creative pieces. It's Friday and time for our weekly test and of course, you'll be doing an animation. Click on the link below for the details. Don't make it too simple. I would suggest having approximately 20 frames even more if you like. Good luck.

ARTS & TECHNOLOGY LESSON 27

Ready for your second animated gif? Today's lesson is a technique that I call construct/deconstruct. First you create the animation then you deconstruct it. You'll understand as you read the lesson. Here is one that I created as a demonstration. Click on this link to see my completed animated gif. http://file2.ws/hewett Click on the link below to see today's lesson:

ARTS & TECHNOLOGY 26

I have been promising animated gifs for some time now. Well today is the day!!!! Don't let the lesson fool you. It may consist of eleven pages of instruction but animated gifs are not terribly difficult to create. Just follow the instructions step by step. In the tutorial you will be using the Layer Manager. This is something that we have not used before; however, it is not necessary to use in all your animations. This is just one way that one artist did it. Hope you enjoy the animation. Don't worry, they will be much more creative than this tutorial I assure you!!! Click on the link below:
