PHOTOS FROM TURKEY DAY SEVEN (part 3)

Our next stop was the magnificent early 13th century Agzikarahan Seljuk caravanserai. It was built in 1229. After a fire it was restored and extended by in 1278. After this extension it became the largest caravanserai in Turkey. It consisted of two sections: one covered and one uncovered. The open courtyard was used in the summer and the covered one used in the winter.
