Back Home Safely

Well I arrived home safely around midnight on Friday night. It's nice to be back home but to be honest with you I wish I were still in Ghana. I miss my best buddy Adams and all the other friends that I've made since my first trip there. The first time that I went to Ghana I had to keep reminding myself that I was actually in Africa. Not this time! This time it was a more comfortable feeling like resting in your favorite recliner! It felt like being home! I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and it ended all to early but I guess I can start planning for my next trip right? LOL!

I have a few pictures for you. The first four were taken at a small town named Somanya which is not too far from Accra. Adams, Amibs and I went there to see exactly how glass beads were made. It was really a very interesting trip. The first picture shows how they crush glass and glass bottles into a powder. The second photo is a man filling up molds with this glass powder. The third photo is the kiln in which the glass beads are fired. It was interesting that the kiln is made from clay found in the huge ant hills throughout Ghana. The fourth photo is in the shop where you can browse around and purchase any of the beads that they make. And yes I did buy plenty! The last photo is of a young guy sitting on the beach located behind the Art Center in Accra. This was one of Adams' and my last outings before my return trip back home.

P.S. I'm sorry that there have been some on my list who have not been able to view my blog. I have no idea why. And now there are some who are not even receiving my emails. Hopefully this will clear up shortly.
