COOPERATIVE LEARNING AT ITS BEST!

Last month my Arts and Technology Class and Mr. Cribb's third grade class from Evergreen Elementary did a joint project that was a huge success. Mr. Cribb's students drew pen and ink sketches of monsters since they were doing a unit of study on them. My students took these same sketches and rendered the monsters using our computer program. They also wrote a brief description about the monster as well. I compiled all the work together into a PPT presentation which my students entitled "Monsters Ink!" Our last day of class my students and I took a quick field trip over to Evergreen where we presented our work to the third graders. I think I am safe in saying that all of them were delightfully surprised and amazed at the end product. Hopefully next year my students will be able to do this project again or one similar to it.
